FTK took active part for up-gradation of Water Ponds in village Khar Surmo. In Water Ponds, water is stored during night time and used for watering fields and plants during next day time. Due to no repair and maintenance of ponds, the existent ponds became leakage and less water ware stored. Due to available of less water, farmers and community members were facing great difficulties. Resultantly, they started rationing watering for fields and plants. So, all people equally get its due share of water. Keeping in view, FTK in 2021-22, with the financial assistance of Local Government and Rural (LG&RD) Department, up-graded two numbers ponds. After up-gradation/construction of these Ponds, the watering issue of the community is almost resolved and farmers now abled to watering fields and plant in day light time on routine basis.
For smooth flow the stored water from pond to fields having no losses, measuring 720 feet water Channels/Cools were also cemented.
For up-gradation of Ponds and water channels, LG&RD funded appox. 4Lacs on public-private partnership basis. Whereas, labourer works were performed by the community members free of cost.
With these progress, people of community have abled ease in cultivation and watering their fields and plants on regular basis. Resultantly, people started earning more yield and income from their crops and plants. This will definitely improving the standards of living of the community.
