Distribution of Corona Relief Fund 2020

The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) was first reported in Wuhan, China, in 2019, and subsequently spread globally to become the fifth documented pandemic since the 1918 flu pandemic.

By September 2021, almost two years after COVID-19 was first identified, there had been more than 200 million confirmed cases and over 4.6 million lives lost to this disease.
On March 1st, 2020 Pakistani Health Authorities also confirmed two cases of COVID-19 both confirmed cases are from citizens who traveled to the Islamic Republic of Iran for Umrah/Ziarat (pilgrimage) and subsequently returned to their hometowns to Karachi and Rawalpindi.


FTK started a donation campaign on an emergency basis from their Donar members and collected around Rs 228 Hundred Thousand Rupees. Out of which, FTK distributed Grocery Items amounting to fifty Thousand Rupees among 27 households, and the rest of the amount was distributed among the needy ones, especially those who had private jobs and those who had been laid off from their jobs due to the pandemic. This organization (FTK) is an only non-profiteering Organization in Union Council Ghurse/Surmo of District Gangche Gilgit Baltistan which it why it is working without the Government and different NGOs’ help and donations. 

Apart from this, well known respected member of FTK Khar, Ali Ibrahim, also distributed handsome amounts among the poor and needy people he also distributed grocery too.
