More than 25 years have been passed, the existing jeepable Government road from Khar to Choghogrong was abandoned. Rehabilitation works were started twice by government agencies but the road is still un-useable due to poor quality of works and in-complete construction. FTK keen interested to rehabilitee the government road. In this regard, FTK is pursuing its case before the relevant forum for funding and re-construction/re-habilitation of Government road.
Current progress:
Construction and Rehabilitation works of government road Khar to Choghogrong has started on 23rd April 2023. Government of Gilgit Baltistan through constitutional representative Ghanche-3 Eng. Muhammad Ismail, Member GB Assembly approved funds around 40Lac for construction/rehabilitation of road project. Local Contractor Mr. Abdul Karim mobilized an executor machine for construction works. FTK nominated a representative to look after the construction works and to maintain works quality.
